Using Agilia VP MC vs Volumat MC
There are a few subtle differences between the newer Agilia VP MC and the Agilia Volumat MC.
For the rest of this section, we will refer to the devices simply as the VP MC and Volumat MC.

Please note this section is only relevant if you previously had the Agilia Volumat MC infusion pump and have just upgraded to the Agilia VP MC infusion pump.

Powering on the devices, programming & starting an infusion


Press to turn on the device.

After Occlusivity Check System (OCS) inspects the device and giving set for suitability you will be presented with the Profile selection screen*.



Use to select a drug. They are sorted alphabetically by the first letter of their name**.






Press to select your drug. This will then take you to the infusion programming screen.




Use to program your VTBI and rate using to confirm each value.
Press the key to start the infusion.








Press to turn on the device.

Direct bolus or programmed bolus
Please note that depending on your device configuration, or drug protocol configuration, the ability to give a bolus may be disabled. If bolus has been disabled then when you press the bolus key on either device nothing will happen and you will hear a repeated key beep only.



Press to enter the bolus menu.



To give a direct bolus press and then
hold and the direct bolus will start. You will hear a beep for every 1mL bolused.
To stop giving a direct bolus release .





To give a programmed bolus press to enter the bolus menu.
Press to select the programmed bolus option then to enter the programmed bolus settings screen. Select a VTBI and a duration. The calculated mL/hr rate will also be shown.





Press to confirm your programmed bolus settings then to start the programmed bolus.




Press to enter the bolus menu.



To give a direct bolus press and hold and the direct bolus will start. You will hear a beep for every 1mL bolused.
To stop giving a direct bolus release .




To give a programmed bolus press to enter the bolus menu.
Press to enter the programmed bolus settings screen and select a VTBI and a duration. The calculated mL/hr rate will also be shown.




Press to confirm your programmed bolus settings then to start the programmed bolus.


Using the dedicated history or pressure settings key



Press to show the pressure settings.
Here the current in-line pressure is shown as well as the pressure limit.
To modify the pressure limit press then use the keys to select a new limit then press to confirm the new limit.







Press to enter the history menu.
Use the keys to select a menu option then to select.




* Your device may be locked down to a single Profile. In this instance you will not see the Profile selection screen.
** Your Profile may not contain any drug protocols. In this instance you will not see the drug selection screen.
